Lol

This film talks about Lola’s life. She is a teenager and her life is complicate. Her parents are separated and she lives with her mother and her sisters. Lola begins to discover the adult world: drugs, sex…  Marion and Lou are their best friends and they care her.  She is in love with Maël, the most handsome boy at school. Finally, they get a couple.
It is a very cute film and I recommend it.

Lol is the diminutive of Lola and also means Laughing out loud.

Great experience

Last summer I went to Lyon with one friend of mine, Laura. She invited me to spend one week with her family in her house. We went by car to Lyon, we stayed five hours into the car. When we arrived there, Laura and her family showed me the city. Lyon is a very big city and beautiful. The people are very friendly and polite. I had a very good time and I hope to go back.

Lovely photos

Anne Geddes is a famous photographer. She likes to take photos of babies and motherhood. In her photos show babies or young children dressed as fairies and fairytale creatures, flowers, or small animals. She loves babies and she likes to take photos of them. Her photos are very creative, amusing and beautiful. The babies are so cute and I love all of them.

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried is one of my favorites actress and I admire her because she do her job well and she doesn’t seeking fame.
She is an American actress, singer-songwriter and model. She began her career as a child model when she was 11, and at 15 began her career as an actress.  She graces the cover of Elle magazine’s April 2011 and the cover of Glamour magazine's November 2011. Amanda Seyfried appeared in some movies like Dear John, Letters to Juliet, Red Riding Hood, In Time, and in the musical film Mamma Mia. I recommend you that you watch Dear John, it’s a beautiful film about one couple that they cannot be together.

Sanit Valentine's Day

ESL Vocabulary Quiz: HOLIDAYS
Valentine's Day (February 14)

Welcome to our new collection of exercises designed to help you practice English while learning about holidays. Some of these holidays are observed in all of the English-speaking world, while others are only celebrated in specific countries/regions. For each blank space, choose the correct reponse. If both responses are acceptable, choose the one that sounds more natural. Good luck!

1. Valentine's Day is a holiday that celebrates romantic (romance/romantic) love - a day when lovers express their feeling for each other, often by exchanging gifts.

2. Chocolate, flowers, and jewelry are all typical (typical/topical) Valentine's Day presents.

3. The most traditional gift on this day is a Valentine's Day card (card/note), which has a written message saying how much someone means to you.

4. Other modern symbols are the heart-shaped outline (shape of a heart) and the figure of Cupid, usually shown shooting his bow to inspire (make/inspire) romantic love.

5. Many couples go out on romantic dates (dates/meetings) on Valentine's Day.

6. An example of the above is a candlelight (candlelight/candle-burning) dinner in a romantic restaurant.

7. When a boy asks you to be his "valentine", he wants you to simply accept (except/accept) the fact that he likes you. Sometimes this can also mean that he wants to spend (make/spend) time with you on Valentine's Day.

8. A sweetheart (sweetheart/sweet-tooth) is a slightly outdated term meaning "the one I love".

9. If you're buying your loved one a dozen (dozen/twelve) roses, it means you're buying her/him 12 roses.

10. Wow! What a beautiful bouquet (bucket/bouquet)! ( = arrangement of flowers usually given as a present).

Complete the crossword:

Doing this exercise I have learned some new words like candlelight, sweetheart and bouquet.

Love song

SUPERMAN- Joe Brooks

This song talks about the singer feelings, he feels in love but he can't tell her because he is afraid for her answer. When she walks near him it makes him feel so small. He tells us that she is perfect for him, he says that it's like she is from some other world. He says that if he were a superman he'd fly her to the stars but he isn't a superman so he hopes her to like him as he is. This love is romantic and a bit tragic because he loves her but he can't tell, he is shy. But it's romantic because he describes the girl like the best person on the world and he says that for her he can have everything.

Experiences in my life

1.

I have been to Tenerife with my family and one friend of mine. We stayed there one week and we visited the island. In Tenerife there is a volcano, the "Teide”, it's the Highest point in Spain. One afternoon we went to see it and I was wearing flip-flop and it broke up, then we had to return to the hotel.

Lesson: Don’t wear flip-flop if you want to visit the Teide.

2.

I have gone to Rihanna’s concert with two friends of mine. We arrived there two hours before to see better the show, but there were many people so we had to go back. I left my glasses at home and did not see very well, luckily the screens enlarged the image. However, he was fantastic! I recommend going to see one of his concerts.

Lesson: take the glasses if you don’t see well.

3.

I have been to La Molina to ski. When we arrived there we had to leave our luggage at the hotel and then we went to ski but I left the gloves at home. We could not go skiing that day because I needed to buy new gloves.

Lesson: review the luggage before leaving.
