Jane

I absolutely thing that this video, which is based on a true story, deservers being watch by everyone. It talks about a young girl called Jane who “had” a baby when she was 18. Jane is a single mother and she goes to school and also she has to take care of her daughter. This situation is really difficult for her but she loves her daughter and she would sacrifice everything for her.  The other mothers criticized her for having a baby being so young but the thing is that they don’t know the truth. The truth is that Jane one day was walking along the street and she saw a bag on the floor. She opened it and insite there was a baby. That baby became her daughter but she decided to keep it in secret.

That video shows how cruel could be the society because in this case, all the mothers criticized Jane without knowing the truth and they are harmed her and her daughter.

Things to stop doing to yourself

I have just read an article written by Marc and Angel which expose a list of 30 things to stop doing to yourself. I really enjoy reading it and for that I have decided to talk about it. Also I recommend you to read the whole article because it is amazing and also it helps you to improve your view about life. If we stop doing all these things I’m sure that people will have a better life.

Most of the things written in the list are obvious and also everyone has heard them at least once but it is important to remember them daily. Some of them are: stop spending time with the wrong people, stop running from your problems, stop trying to be someone you’re not, stop being scared to make a mistake, stop rejecting new relationships just because old ones didn’t work, stop worrying so much, stop being ungrateful, stop lying to yourself, stop trying to compete against everyone else or stop being jealous of others. These are the most common ones because as I said before, everyone has heard them and try to stop doing once in live.

But I would bring out some of the ones which I have never thought them that I should stop doing to myself. The first one is to stop putting your own needs on the back burner, the second one is to stop trying to hold onto the past because you can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one. The third one is to stop thinking you’re not ready And last but not least, we have to stop trying to make things perfect because perfect things don’t exist.

Thai commercial

This is a emotional commercial video which pretends to show us that money can’t buy the most important things in live. This video talks about one guy who helps other people doing little things like helping a woman with her wheelbarrow to cross the road or giving bananas to an old woman. He gets nothing for doing that, he does it for free. The people who see him helping others don’t understand why he is doing all these. He is a good man, he hasn’t much money and he doesn’t want to be rich. At the end, we can see all the little things that he had done, and helped to improve other people lives.  And that is what makes him happy.

Places to go before I die (3)

That’s my third and last post about the places to go before I die.  Previously I have explained my favorites places in Europe and in North America.

Somewhere totally different that I also want to go is the Sahara desert. May be it is because is a landscape unusual for me and for that fascinates me. As well as, Ha Long Bay, is located in northern Vietnam and there are more than 2,000 jungle-covered islands with caves, grottoes, sinkholes and lakes.

Also I would like to visit Argentina, the Macchu Picchu, Egypt and at the north of Beijing. And finally, I can’t die without staying at Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.

Places to go before I die (2)

As you could read in the previous post I have started to make a list about the places which I want to go. After visiting the European countries I would like to visit New York, I think that most people would like to go there to visit the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, the Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller center, Grand Central terminal and obviously Times Square. And also I would like to go to the MOMA (the museum of modern arts), watch some musical and join a basketball mach.

Furthermore I would like to do the U.S. Route 66, also known as the Will Rogers Highway for the same as reason I want to do the interrail: it’s cheaper and also you can visit many places in a shorter time.

Lake Louisa and the Niagara Falls in Canada are places that I’m really looking forward to go, too.

Places to go before I die (1)

Since I was a child, my biggest dream has been travelling around the world. Obviously, if I had money and time I will go to everywhere but it’s quite difficult to have money and time. So I have decided to make a list about the places which I want to go.

Firstly I would travel though Europe with an interrail because I think that is the cheapest way to visit the European countries in a short time. In that way you have the chance to visit most countries and decide which you like best and then you can go back again and spend more time.  I’m looking forward to visit Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey and specially Germany and Greece.

My last days. Carpe diem

I think that everybody has to watch that video because people are use to complain for anything, but the majority of complains are for silly things.

In that video Zach, who has a terminal disease, is talking about their last days. In the whole video we can see him happy and enjoying his life with all the people who love him.

Everyone has to learn about him and his family because even they are having a really bad moment in their lives, they are trying to enjoy their time together. The thing that I most admire is that they are always smiling and they support each other.

All in all, I can say that seeing that video makes me think of the important things in live: family and friends.

A whole day in Barcelona

Four days before starting the school my family and I went to Barcelona to see my grandmother and also to go to the theater. First of all, we went to my favorite place in Barcelona, Montjuic. Then we spent the afternoon with my grandmother and finally we went to the theater. We watched “La familia irreal” which I recommend because it’s funny and enjoyable.

When we were coming back with the car, we saw a car stopped in the middle of the road and a woman in front of the car with the hands up. We couldn’t stop there because we had some cars at the back. Some kilometers later we phoned to ask help for that poor woman and they said that they were coming.

Thailand

My uncle and aunt love travelling so when their daughter grew up they decided to make a trip every year. They have been almost in every continent and their favorite one is Asia because they love their culture and also their food.

One month ago my uncle and aunt went to Thailand for the second time. They told us that they loved this country and they were wishing to go back again as soon as they could.

They are planning to live there when they retire because of the weather, the kind people, the food and for the good environment.

The problem is that my grandmother and my cousin don’t agree with that decision because they thing that Thailand it’s too far from here and if my uncle and aunt go to live there we won’t be able to see them very often.

Happiness

One year ago, more or less, we started a new project at school called TDR. People use to think that one year it’s too long to do a project, but that’s not true. The TDR brings too much work and everyone was very stressed doing it. Fortunately, one year later… I have finished my TDR and I’m extremely happy! I know that I still have to do the oral presentation but the hardest work has been done.

If I’m honest, I’m going to be nervous in front of my teacher talking about my project but everyone has to do it, so I have to do it too.

Finally, congratulations to all my classmates for have finished their TDR!

New Years's Eve

Every year I have celebrated the New Year’s Eve with my parents and some friends of them and then I went to celebrate it with my friends. But this year, my friends and I decided to do something special. In the morning we went to buy all the food that we need, then we got dressed elegantly and finally we went to prepare everything for the dinner. At night we met and we had dinner, we ate the twelve grapes and then we went to Sant Pere Pescador.

I really enjoyed that night because we laughed a lot and we spent a good time together. I just want to repeat it.

Happy New Year to everyone!

This is my first post on 2014 and I’m sure that this year is going to be fantastic, I know it. The reasons are: first of all I will finish the high school (that will be great), then I will be able to drive a car and go wherever I want. And last but not least, I will start university!

The problem is that we haven’t finished all the exams yet, so I have decided to keep calm and study hard to get a high mark and past to university. Also I have to enjoy my last year in the high school because maybe next year I won’t be able to see all my friends everyday like now and I’m going to miss them.

Thep pianist

The Pianist is a film which explains the life of a Polish-Jewish pianist in the Second World War. The pianist is called Władysław Szpilman and he plays on the radio in Warsaw. The film starts when the Nazi Germany's invade Poland. Szpilman go to his house with his family and there they listen to the radio that Britain and France have declared war on Germany. However, the Nazis enter to Warsaw very quickly. As a result, the lives of the Jews get worse and worse. The Nazis use them like machines and objects to work in their businesses. At first, the Nazis force them to wear blue Star of David armbands to recognize them faster.

Furthermore, Szpilman and his family have been forced to leave their home and move into the overcrowded Warsaw Ghetto where conditions only get worse. There, people live in terrible conditions.

One year later, all the family is deported to an extermination camp, but he survives as a consequence of an intervention from a friend in the Jewish Ghetto Police.  Then Szpilman becomes a slave labourer. But he decides to escape and he takes refuge from one non-Jewish friend of his. This friend hides him on an apartment but a neighbor discovers him. So he has to find another place to live.

Some months later, the city is destroyed and he moves to an abandoned house.  But one Nazi officer, Wilm Hosenfeld, discover him.  Szpilman doesn’t know what to do, he thinks that the Nazi will kill him even though, the Nazi asks him to play the piano. Listening how Szpilman plays, he gets moved and he allows Szpilman to hide in the attic house where he regularly brings him food.

After that, the Germans are forced to retreat due to the advance of the Red Army. So Wilm meets Szpilman for the last time and promises he will listen to him on Polish Radio after the war. He gives Szpilman his greatcoat to keep warm and then, he leaves. When the Red Army arrives and sees Szpilman with a Nazi coat and they thing that he is an enemy. Then he explains to the army what he has been doing here.  At the end of the war, all Jewish are free and the Nazi officers are jailed.

Sweet 17!

Last week it was my birthday and I decided to celebrate it with my friends in two weeks time as soon as we have finished all the exams.  Even though on Saturday night the girls phoned me to watch a film. The truth is that I didn’t want to go because I had lots of homework to do however they convinced me. Finally I went thinking that we would watch a film but when I entered at the room, I saw all my friends there! I didn’t expect to see them. I was moved and I couldn’t say anything, for a long time after my legs were still wobbling and my heart was beating like crazy.

They prepared the dinner and the cake. Furthermore they gave me pictures of all of us since we were little. I just can say that they are incredible people and they make me happy. Love you guys!

Subject: Getting fit

Jennie, nice to hear from you. I ‘m glad you moved to England. As you know, I ‘m a bit lazy too but I really would like to join you running in the mornings but I can’t because I start school at 8 and for me it’s too early. If you want we can go running in the evening or at the weekends. Also, if you prefer we can go to a gym.

Some days ago, walking along the street I saw a new gym next to our house. We could go there together! It’s cheap and as well we can do different types of exercises and chose the days that we want to go and if we didn’t have any homework it would be perfect.

Moreover, I could teach you how to swim well. You have just to say when and where, I’m totally prepared.

I’m so excited to start our exercise routine. I think that these would be good for us because we could disconnect for a while from school and we’ll get fit.

See you soon
Love,

Tura.

As soon as Roy opened the door, he knew something was wrong. Some hours before Amelia, Roy’s girlfriend, had phoned him to arrange to meet. But Roy’s parents went on vacations to New York and told him that he had to care for his little brother, Jake. Roy didn’t know what to do however he thought that nothing could happen if he left Jake alone for two hours. So he decided to go to the cinema with Amelia. Both entered to the cinema and switched off their phones.

When the film had finished, Roy switched on his phone and he saw twenty one call phones from Jake. Roy phoned him but he didn’t answer. Roy went to his house and opened the door.  What has happened here? He thought. Where is Jake? Everything was untidy and there were things missing. He didn’t understand anything. He looked for Jake all around the house but Jake wasn’t there. He was in a shocking state. Someone kidnapped his brother! He thought. Meanwhile Amelia phoned the police. Suddenly, someone knock the door. He opened the door and there were his parents and Jake. He was shocked and astonished. Then his parents asked him what happened at the house.

What happened was that Jake went to meet his parents at the airport with the neighbor and he tried to phone Roy to warn him. While he was at the airport, some thieves entered to their house and steal many things.

The surprise

Last weekend my cousin from Barcelona came to visit us. Some days before, she had warned that she had a surprise which maybe we don’t like. My sister and I thought that she was talking about a new pet because our little cousin loves unusual animals. So we decided to bet. I bet for a big rabbit and my sister said she bet for a snake.
We were right that the surprise was a pet but, we were both wrong about the type of animal.  Finally, she arrived at our house and we could see what it was. She opened her hand and… it was a chameleon!  We were so surprised!
It was tiny with a large tail. Furthermore with his big eyes seemed that it was watching you all the time.  Moreover, my cousin told us it fed itself with live crickets and when it is thirsty, she has to give it running water.

Although, it doesn’t need too much attention because it just needs sunshine and a plant to stay.

Life isnt't a bed of roses

Everyone knows that life is complicated and your decisions could go wrong in the majority of the cases. But that isn’t an excuse to give up looking for happiness.
As the statistics says, there is a high percentage of the population which are unhappy with their lives. Most of them have economic or familiar problems. I know that is hard to make ends meet but that doesn’t means that you are unhappy. You could be happy with few things. We just have to remember there is someone out there that is happier with less than what you have.
Your life could have a turn for the worse every single day but, also there are second chances to start again. We have to face our challenges to succeed and leave behind the failures.

All in all, life isn’t a bed of roses and for that we have to put our best efforts to overcome the problems and look for happiness.

Daily routine

People, especially those who have been living in the same place for a long time, get bored with their lives. I think that everyone has this sensation at one time or another because of the routine.
When you talk about routines most of people think about the adults. Maybe because when you are older it’s difficult change completely your life, especially if you have children because you need to take care of them.  Although you can change some of your habits to get away from routine and have enjoyable experiences.

But, nobody or just a few people think about teenagers. We also do the same every day: get up, go to school, come back at home, do the homework and go to sleep. Except at the weekends, when we can do what we want if we haven’t got any homework. For that, we have to take advantage of the weekend and on holidays not to get bored. Moreover, it’s important to find out things which we enjoy doing.

My friends

It’s the end of the term and I want to dedicate my last post for my friends because probably they are the only people who knows me exactly how I am. Although they know that I am not perfect, my friends accept me as I am. They are too important for me, they are a huge part of my life and I feel comfortable and complete with them. They get the best part of me.

I really need them, they are people who make me smile every day. I think that we have a tight relationship because we have known each other since the nursery school and we have grown up together, so we have lived the good and bad moments together. They just make me happy.

They are one of the best things that I have and they never going to be substituted for anyone else.
